Adam de Blakater of that ilk succeeded 1468 (d. 1492), appears next laird to Robert. From Exchequer Rolls he was given seisin in Blacater.
On 2nd Feb. 1476 James, King of Scots signifies to the bearers of the 2000 Marks instalment of Princess Cecilias's Donor that he has sent Alexander Lord Hume, Robert de Landor, and Adam de Blacathalties of that ilk with Lynn King of Arms to conduct him to Edinburgh. ("Rymers Foldera")
On 13th Dec. 1482 Marione, widow of Robert, is pursuer against Adam Blacader for 1/3 of the Castle of Blacader L133.6.8. The maills of the lands of Blacader for the past 5 terms, viz. 50 merks; judgement in her favor for 10 merks each term. Adam had granted a bond to pay his mother her terce of the lands (Acta Dom. Audit) |
