| Name was spelled Blackather on the pedigree chart. He was witness to a charter in 1427, suggesting that at that time he held a trusted position in the household of James II. (On this charter, the name was spelled Blacathter.) In 1432 a charter for the barony of Blackeder was granted by James II for service repelling the Northumbrians during his minority. | ||||||
