Benjamin Small-Pet. &Dic for Admin.

To the honorable Judge of Probate for the Maine county of Washington: Almira Small, widow of the late Benjamin Small, and Andrew Small and Jeremiah Small, the only surviving children,(so far as we know) of the late said Benjamin Small of the Maine town of Pembroke in said county of Washington, respectfully represent that the said Benjamin Small died intestate, being...and possessed of goods and chattel rights and claims in said county which ought to be administered according to law. Therefore, we the said Almira, Andrew and Jeremiah Small pray that the letters of administration of said estate may be granted to Thos. J. Sherman of Pembroke aforesaid. Pembroke, Apr 26, 1869. Almira Small, Jeremiah Small, Andrew Small.

At a court of Probate held at Machias within and for the said county in the twenty-seventh day of April AD 1869. Upon the foregoing petition the facts therein appearing to be true, I do decree that administration of said estate be granted to the said Thos. J. The Land....

The piece within mentioned was deeded by Zadok Hersey Jr. to Benjamin Small July 8, 1841. Deed recorded Book 69, page 55.

The two upper corners at high water , common tides and three rods apart, the prior two rods wide-all the angles right angles.
