Will of Nancy McNeely Small
Spencer County Indiana
May 17, 1850


In the name of the benevolent Father of All I Nancy Small of Spencer County Indiana being aged and infirm but of sound mind and disposing memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament. 1st It is my will that my spirit be resigned into the hands of the Father of Spirits and after my death that my body be decently and becommingly consigned to the grave.

2ndly I Will and bequeath to my beloved son John H Small to him and his heirs and assigns forever the South West Quarter of the South East Quarter of section twelve, town seven South of Range seven west forth acres, I also will and bequeath to my beloved son William Small One hundred dollars to be paid to him by my said son John H Small, twenty five dollars to be paid in six months after my desease and twenty five dollars in one year from my death and fifty dollars in two years after my death.

3rdly, I will and bequeath to my beloved son James E. Small the north west quarter of the south east quarter of said section twelve town seven south of range seven west 40 acres, all of the land above described in Spencer County Indiana. I also will and bequeath unto my beloved son George M. Small one hundred dollars to be paid by my said son James E. Small, twenty five dollars in six months from my decease, twenty five dollars in one year from my death and fifty dollars in two years after my death.

4thly, I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Nancy Shoptaugh all my clothing apparel and to the children of Sally Garrett deceased I will and bequeath one dollar. I will and bequeath unto my beloved grandson Hardin Small, my black and white cow at my son William Smalls, I also will and bequeath to my said grandson my other cow and all my personal property at my death except my bed and bedding which I will and bequeath to my beloved grandson John H Small son of James E. Small.
