Will of Capt. Robert Smallay of the Bermuda Hundred.
To his man Christopher Hardyn 3 barrels of Indian corn.
To his man Thomas Chapman 30 weight of best tobacco.
To his man Richard Kyes 5 yds. of kersey and 2 barrels of Indian corn.
To his man Thomas Oge 3 barrels of Indian corn.
To his wife Elizabeth Smallay, his house and grounds at Bermuda Hundred, 2
cows, 3 calves, 1 bull, 1 sow and all the rest of his goods.
Lists notes in his trunk regarding receipts of tobacco, and notes of Mr.
Peers on payments due from Ensign Chaplyn and Mr. Procter; Mr. Procter is to
pay Capt. Smallay 20 Ib. of best tobacco for corn which he had from
Lieutenant (?) Bartlet.
Capt. Smallay sent home 87 Ibs. of tobacco for a man and commodities; if
they come, Capt. Smallay is to have half the commodities and 43 Ibs. of
tobacco, and if they do not come Capt. Smallay is to have 87 Ibs. of
tobacco.
Sir Thomas Dale owes him 63 Ibs. of tobacco, at 3s. 4d* the pound, of which
he has received 20s.
All his own tobacco is in his house at Bermuda Hundred.

Of the tobacco between Mr. Procter and Capt. SMALLAY, Capt. SMALLAY is to
have half, allowing Mr. Procter 146 Ibs.
Capt, SMALLAY is to have 400 Ibs. of tobacco from Thomas Chapman, at
Henrico.
He gives Capt. Samuel Argall, Esq., now Governor of Virginia, 2 yoke of oxen
when his tobacco has paid for them, and asks Argall to be his executor.

Probate 15 November 1621 to Elizabeth SMALLAY, relict of the deceased, in
lieu of Samuel Argall executor, who appears to have declined to act as
executor.
