Frank Pahl died at his home, three miles south of Carey, Wednesday
evening, at 8 o'clock. Death was due to the infirmities of old age.
Mr. Pahl was born in Germany November 20, 1818, being aged 89 years, 2
months and 2 days. He came to America with his parents when a
child. He was twice married. His first, wife was Mary Ann Simonis and
after her death he was united in marriage to her sister, Magdalena Simonis,
who is also deceased. He was the father of fourteen children, thirteen
of whom are living. They are Mrs. Lena Haupert, of Millersville; Mrs.
Rose Esker, of Norwalk; Mrs. Joseph Brown, Mrs. Francis Logsdon and Mrs.
Mary Obringer, of Carey; John and Jerome Pahl, of Fostoria; Charles, of
Tiffin; Peter, of Michigan; Frank, of Delphos; Henry, Ameal and Will, of
Carey. One daughter passed away after she had grown to womanhood.
Mr. Pahl was a devout member of Our Lady of Consolation church at
Carey, where the funeral will be held Saturday morning, at 9 o'clock.
Interment will be made in the church cemetery.

His wife, Doris, survives. Funeral, 2 p.m. Monday, Fox Funeral Home.

Leo T. Orians
ORIANS, Leo T., age 78, of 302 Overland Blvd., Englewood, O., died Saturday
at Grandview Hospital. He was a retired master electric employee. Surviving
are his wife Myrtle (Kettlehake); 2 sons, Clarence of Moraine, and John;
1 daughter, Mrs. Agnes Smith, of Dayton; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
Services 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the George Miller and Son Funeral Home, 805 S.
Main St., by Minister Dale Cruxton. Burial Memorial Park Cemetery, Friends may
call at the funeral home. 7-9 p.m. Monday.
