Hester MAHIEU
b. probably between 1582 and 1588, probably in Canterbury, England, the daughter of Jacques and Jenne MAHIEU
d. between 8 Jun 1666 and 18 Dec 1675 in Plymouth

Francis was a wookcomber in Leyden. He and his son John came to New England aboard the Mayflower, 1620. Hester and three girls came to New England aboard the Anne, 1623.

Children of Francis and Hester Cooke (order not certain):

1. Jane Cooke, b. about 1604 probably in Leyden.
2. John Cooke,  b. late 1606 probably in Leyden; d. 23 Nov 1695 in Dartmouth, MA. He m. Sarah WARREN (daughter of Richard and Elizabeth WARREN and sister of Mary WARREN) 1634 in Plymouth 1634. They had children Sarah, Elizabeth, Hester, Mary, and Mercy.
3. unnamed child, b. probably early 1608 in Leyden; d. 20 May 1608 in Leyden.
4. Elizabeth Cooke, bp. 26 Dec 1611 in Leyden; d. before 22 May 1627.
5. Jacob Cooke, b. about 1618 in Leyden; d. between 11 and 18 Dec 1675 in Plymouth. He m. (1) Damaris HOPKINS shortly after 10 Jun 1646 in Plymouth. They had children Elizabeth, Caleb, Jacob, Mary, Martha, Francis, and Ruth. He m. (2) Elizabeth (LETTICE) SHURTLEFF 18 Nov 1669 in Plymouth. They had children (possibly) Sarah and Rebecca.
6. Hester Cooke, b. about 1624 probably in Plymouth;  d. between 9 May 1669 and 8 Jun 1691, probably in Plymouth. She m. Richard WRIGHT about 1644 probably in Plymouth. They had children Adam, John, Esther, Isaac, Samuel, and Mary.
7. Mary Cooke, b. between 22 Mar 1626 and 21 Mar 1627 in Plymouth; d. 21 Mar 1713/14 in Middleborough, MA. She m. John TOMSON 26 Dec 1645. They had children Adam, John, John, Mary, Hester, Elizabeth, Sarah, Lydia, Jacob, Thomas, Peter, and Mercy.
