I have a hypothesis that Phebe's maiden name was Bailey. There was a family named Bailey that was associated with daughter Carrie's family in Durand, Illinois; this Bailey family lived near and was buried with the Moores. There are also some similarities between the family names. I have not researched this family in Vermont yet.
