DEATH SUMMONS MRS. ANN BARKER AT SON'S HOME
Barker, 96, a resident of Rockford for 38 years, died early this morning
at the home of her son, William, 908 Rockton avenue.
While Mrs. Barker had been in failing health for several months, a slight fall on Sunday incurred injuries and shock which hastened her death.
Born in Nottingham, England, November 28, 1829, Mrs. Barker was married in early girlhood to William Barker. They came to America 37 years ago, settling first in Iowa. Eleven years later, they moved to Rockford. Mr. Barker preceded his wife in death many years ago.
Surviving, in addition to the son with whom she made her home, are three grandchildren and four four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held at the home Friday afternoon at 2:30, the Rev. Mr. McKrakle of the U. B. church officiating. Burial is to be at Greenwood.
