Cape Breton Post 27 Nov 1986 Mrs. Anastasia Mason, 96, Sydney ============================= Mrs. Anastasia Mason, 96, MacGillivary Guest Home, formerly of 417 St. Peters Rd., died Wednesday, November 26 at the residence. Born at Placentia, Nfld., she was the daughter of the late Philip and Ellen (Houlihan) Somers. She was a member of St. Theresa's Parish and was a charter member of the C.W.L. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Margaret MacDonald, Howie Centre; Mrs Ella Tracey, Hamilton; Betty (Mrs. Carl Cooper), Cleveland, Richmond County; three sons, Cecil and Frank, Sydney; Rev. James, Redempionist Fathers, Toronto; 23 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard, one sister, Rose and a brother, James and one grandson. The body will rest at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel today after 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at St Theresa's Church with Rev. James Mason officiating. Internment will be made in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to charity.
