Dutch Crumb Apple Pie 5 to 7 tart apples (Granny Smith or Greening are best) 1 9-inch unbaked pastry shell 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup sugar 3/4 cup enriched flour 1/3 cup butter or margerine Pare apples and slice; arrange in pie shell. Combine 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon, sprinkle over apples. Combine 1/2 cup sugar with the flour; cut in butter or margerine till crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake on lower rack in a hot oven 425° about 40 minutes or until done. Cool on wire rack.
