Source: Babynamer.com Betsey was born 8 November 1832 in Bertie, Welland Co., Ontario. The daughter of Henry Climehaga and Susannah Pickard, she married 20 November 1849, at Holy Trinity Church, Chippawa (now Niagara Falls), Ontario, Peter Sider, son of Mary and Martin Sider. Six children were born of this marriage. Daniel 1855; Benjamin 1856, married Norel Haun and Elizabeth Annabelle Bird; Esther Susan 1858 married William Hamilton Henry Logan and Harry Miller; Elias 1864 married Saretta, Aretta, Effie; Ernest 1874 married Elizabeth Wallace; David 1875. Betsey was a mid-wife at the birth of many children, including most of her grandchildren. Peter died in 1897, Betsey passed away 28 September 1918 and is laid to rest in a single grave at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines, Lincoln Co., Ontario, Section G.
