Orange Cutouts 3/4 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 2 eggs, beaten 2 teaspoons grated orange rind 3 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour 3 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/3 cup milk Cream shortening and sugar. Beat eggs and rind into mixture. Mix well. Add vanilla to milk and alternate with dry ingredients. Chill well. Roll 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured board; cut into shapes with cookie cutters. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in a 375° oven for about 8-10 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen cookies. When cool, frost and decorate as desired.
