[NF349] Married in the parsonage of the Baptist Church by Reverand Langley. First home was at 930 Fifth, Alva, OK on January 13, 1944. The couple moved to Amarillo, TX and lived with W.E.'s parents. They lived in two apartments in Amarillo, TX before moving in August 1947 to their own home in Meadow, TX.
[NF352] Edson & Virginia lived in Topeka, KS and moved to Dunlap, NM in 1910. In rail transit their daughter Alpha May became sick and they were forced to disembark with all their belongings in Follett, TX. The community assisted them greatly, but Alpha May died. They returned to Kansas to bury Alpha May, leaving all their possessions in Follett, TX. They returned to Follett, loaded their belongings, and continued on to Dunlap, NM. Ruth attended high school in Kansas City with relatives, because Dunlap was too rural. Edson & Virginia finally moved to Follett, TX where they had been so well taken care of during Alpha May's sickness.
[NF366] No children from this marriage.
[NF380] George and Helen resided in Lynnwood, WA. In their latter years, they moved to a seniors' home in La Jolla, CA. Both died there.

Norma King met Arthur Fields (who worked at the Amarillo Post Office) through notes they sent back and forth on the mailbags. Actually, the first note went on the Follett pouch from Arthur advising Norma of what she was doing wrong. She shot back a sarcastic note -- and the correspondence began!
Finally, the men in the Amarillo Post Office noted that Arthur (he was called Henry at the post office) was watching for the Follett mail sack and tried beating him to it to read the notes. So they began writing letters, using stamps like everyone else. He finally asked to come and meet her. On Valentine's Day, 1932 they eloped to Arnett, Oklahoma and married.
Arthur and Norma resided the majority of their married life at 902 Florida, Amarillo, Texas.
