Will of James Sprouse of Louisa County:

In the name of God, Amen, April 15, 1800. I, James Sprouse, of Louisa County being weak and in a low state of health thou of sound and disposing mind and memory do direct that this my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth; to wit, after all my just debts are paid, I lend unto Massie Thacker all my Estate of every kind during her natural life; except my Sorrel horse, Jolly, which I give and bequeath of my son Thomas Thacker to have immediate possession of him after my death. And after the death of Massie Thacker it is my desire that all my Estate except the above mentioned horse shall be equally divided amongst the rest of my children. To wit, Rachel Dalton, Nelson Thacker, Nicholas Thacker and Martin Thacker & it is my will and desire that Jno Lasley and Peter Crawford should act as my Executors.
