The earliest records that I have been able to find is that for a Benjamin, Vincent and wife Mary (my line), Jeremiah and Charles Sprouse all in Louisa County records for 1742-46. The two records for Benjamin and one record for Jeremiah are the only records that I have seen on them and no other mention can be found. Vincent and Charles can be seen in records past the 1770's and Vincent up to the 1790's. A Henry J. Sprouse also appears in the Albemarle County records in 1751. It can be ascertained that at least Vincent, Charles and Jeremiah are probably brothers. While Benjamin and Henry J. remain a mystery. I'm sure other records exist on this family during this period and hopefully with help they can be found.
There are a few earlier records for a few Sprouse's including that of a Elizabeth just mentioned by name as arriving in Virginia in 1620. I haven't listed thse early records due to the fact that they just list dates and no other supporting information to be useful at this time.
