Hamburg list lists CJ Bruckner as a laborer with wife and 2 daughters, ages 2 1/2 and 1/2. The New York passenger list lists two initials Bruckner, male, 27, and two females, Hannah, 27 and Marie, infant, 6 months
Rachel, 2 1/2 yrs is not accounted for on the New York list.

Is listed as Jacob in "Achthundert Auswanderer aus Sachsen-Weimar (1854)" Koch,Herbert Archiv fur Sippenforschung 27 Jahrgang (1961) p 131-136.

Helped build the first PARR tracks from Pitcairn to Pittsburgh, sons Bill and John worked in the shop.
Was section foreman for the Pennsylvania railroad for 48 years. He refused his pension, telling the company he did not need the money, and they should give it to other who needed it more than he.

Did very well with land investment in Cavittsville. Had his property subdivided into lots, most of which he had sold prior to his death. Brickner Street still exists in Cavittsville
