Farewell...
Ted Larson, Plymouth, Minnesota
Like most of you who
participate on the Islay email group, I had never met Ted Larson
in person - but many of us knew him well via the internet!
After our daughter's passing in 2003, I found myself far from
genealogy - and Ted was nice enough to volunteer to take over
duties as "List master" of the Islay email group. He
always joked that he'd have to give it back to me soon because
he was getting old... We traded occasional emails about
baseball - how good or bad the Twins or the Mariners were that
year. Little did I realize how much more he has
contributed to the research of Islay, the Gilchrist surname (and
MANY others) - his creation of his own web site to dovetail into
mine is amazing, and hopefully many of you have benefited from
his efforts! His work should remain online with
Rootsweb.com for as long as Rootsweb exists. With the
permission of his family, I hope to keep his files available as
long as I can!
Warm regards, Steve

Love lives
on forever
in each
memory and thought
of the special ones
who
meant so much
and the
happiness they brought.
Love lives on forever -
it
will never fade away -
For, in our
hearts,
our
loved ones
are with us every
day...
