In the 1900 census it shows Mary and Tandy had 10 children and only 8 living.
I can only account for 9 children.  Jesse T. was listed in the 1880 and his
is missing so I assume he died and then probably a child was born and died in
the 1880- 1900 time frame.

Then By 1910 Poor Mary only had 6 children living-- so that would be Jesse
T., unknown child, George Monroe and Charley M.

WWI; m. EULAH DETHERIDGE, July 04, 1917, Jackson County Arkansas.

Notes for OTHA STOKES:
Remember the newspapers make mistakes.  Notice Carrie is not listed as a
survivor and since she died in 1918 she should be listed.  Notice theyhave J.
M. listed which does not match.  I figure they got Aunt Johnnie and Martin
G.'s initials confused and J.M. is really Griddley and they omitted Aunt
Johnnie
From a Woodruff County Newspaper.

The sad news of the death of one of "our soldier boys" was received here
Sunday, the telegram stating that Private Otha Stokes had succumbed at Camp
Beauregard, La., to an attack of measles and pneumonia.
The remains arrived here Wednesday and were laid to rest in the Fakes
Cemetary Thursday, Rev,. J. R. Nelson conducting the funeral services and
quite a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives attending to pay
their last tribute of respect to the first volunteer from McCrory who gave
his life for his home and country.  Private J. E. Marr of Co. A was detailed
to accompany the remains home.
The deceased enlisted with company of volunteers from Woodruff County,
UNREADABLE, 154th, infantry 39th division a few months ago but was since
transfered to a machine gun company of the same regiment.  Reports state that
he was a good soldier and well respected by all his comrades.
