Vet was b in 1761 at Branford in New Haven Co, CT, and he stated in 1832 his bro, not named of Seabrook Ct had his father's family records. Vet lived in Branford CT at enl & in 1793 he movd to Greenville, in Greene Co NY. Sol's wid appl there 6 Mar 1840, aged 71, sol had mrd Sally Norton in Jun 1786 in Guilford CT where she lived & sol was then of Branford CT. Wid referred to one Medad Norton of Mentz NY in 1840 as being at her weddng and she also refers to one Bethiah Norton as Rev pensioner of Greenville, NY. The son of Jonathan Stokes d 17 Oct 1836 at Greenville, NY, sol's and Wid,s oldest child was Clarissa aged 52 in Jun 1836 was of Coeymans in Albany co, NY in 1840 and was then the wife of Hon Orcott. Wid stated she had 10 other children of which the oldest of these was John aged 50, a son of Chauncy Stokes aged 32, was of Greenville, NY in 1840.

Sol, d 7 Nov 1848, wid appl 18 Jun 1849 at Westbrook CT Sol's daughter in law Mary Ann Stokes was aged 54 in Apr 1849 a res of Wesbrook CT and she stated in 1849 that she was a grandaughter of Jedediah Chapman dec'd and that she had m sol's son Richard on 31 Oct 1814. She stated her mother (not named) was then living near Seneca Falls NY. The said Mary Ann Stokes stated her grandfather Chapman stated "when he mrd sol & wid he little thought he should ever have a granddaughter mrd one of their sons. Wid appl for BLW 29 Mar 1855 Middlesex Co CT & an Anne Cone and Jemima Stokes were Witnesses to her BLW application.
