Yarram
A cemetery operated from at least 1873-1906 in the centre of the town, with no records being identified. By the 1880s, 54 burials were known to have taken place. Apparently no headstones survived a fire in 1898, and when the new cemetery opened in 1906 all possible remains were moved there.

The new cemetery reserve was, gazetted c. 1906 and records date from 1906. The registers have been issued on microfiche (available from YGG at $12), and are held at YGG, PAMM, EGFHG. Headstones (to 1992) have been transcribed and are held at YGG. The cemetery is still in use and is administered by a trust. Enquiries should be directed to Gippsland Funeral Services, Yarram 3971. Details of records and/or headstones are held at the GSV.
