on a site now known as “The Block” Collins Street Melbourne. Recipient of the
King’s Medal. Former Member of the House of representatives for 20 years. Held
Cabinet ranks of Assistant Minister for Defence and Post Master General. On
board of Directors of Australian Natives Association for 53 years. Member of
the Sale Council for 24 years including six terms as Mayor. He is the oldest
surviving ex-collegian of Scotch College. Mr. Wise, who will reach the age
of 97 years on 1st July, must rank as being one of Sale’s most
prominent citizens. “The Midnight Express” is proud to record these facts on
