Research Interests.
Below is a list of subscribers research interests for the BAMFORD surname (and its variants).

The next eight generations of my ancestors lived around the Corby/Kettering area in Nhants
or just over the border in Leicester. They were William (bap 1614 -1680), John
(1650-1717), William (1676- ), John (1701-1731), John (1724-1792), John (1759- ), Henry
(1784-1866) and William (1822- 1886). William and his wife Lucy (GIBBONS) migrated to Victoria, Australia in 1844 settling in the Benalla area. Their son Robert married Annie Janet BARBER and one of their children, Mabel, married Edward LAKEMAN. Mabel and Edward are my grandparents. My interests are any connections to the BAMFORD family either in England or in Australia (mainly in Victoria). |

| My interest is Sofia Bamford who is the mother of Winnifred
Bamford. Winnifred was born in Lancashire England. I know that she married Thomas Stewart and they lived in Bolton, Lancashire England. They both would have been born in the very late part of 1800's because they had 10 or so children my mother being one of the last in 1914 in Pt. Pirie in South Australia. The rest were born in England before migration took place. |
