In Kelly's Directory of 1883 Mr E G Lakeman was recorded as 'patentee and manufacturer of turn-wrest plough etc, etc', and in 1889 as 'patentee and manufacturer of the deep pulverizing harrow etc, etc'. Derrick Evan Lakeman (born Cincinnatti, Ohio 1958) was the U.S. national long distance running champion in 1985 and 1988, winning titles at 10k & 15k. Richard Evan Lakeman (born Cincinnatti, Ohio 1931) founded the Dept of Urban Planning in Portland, Oregon and led the successful effort stop the construction of a parking tower and instead build the first major North American public square built since 1930.
