WELCOME! This site is under construction and probably will be for some time to come, please excuse any incomplete links that you encounter. When I designed this site, I intended to add surnames on the bar at the left as I found them. That was before I uncovered my link to my early New England ancestors. Until then my research had been slow and painful at times, finding a small piece here and there. Early this year, using the commercial Ancestry site, I happened across the parents of my 2x great-grandmother Sylvia Lane Dudley. For those reading this who have not had the opportunity to do genealogical research in New England, I can only say it is a joy. Now I am working on a way to expand my site to include a New England section. Please bear with me during this revamping of the pages contained herein.
I continue to invite comments and corrections. While every attempt has been made to insure that the material I present here is accurate, mistakes do happen.
The above picture was taken at Old Salem Cemetery, Armaugh Twp., Mifflin Co. PA. The stone is that of my ancestor, Henry Stitzer. Henry collected a pension in Mifflin Co, PA for his service during the Revolution, he served at Trenton and Princeton and his pension application includes a description of the crossing of the Delaware.
I dedicate this site to my late brother, Phillip John Swanger (1951-1997). John was not only my research partner but my best friend. This picture was taken on a trip to Green Twp. Adams Co. OH and is the grave of our ancestor, Samuel Montgomery.
