The 30th August died, according to the proper physician's certificate
("vederb. läkares intyg"), by(?) a blow to the head, that during his
home-travel from Hvetlanda (Vetlanda) market had happened to him, namely
the man Måns Persson of W. Stigåsa.
After the courts decision he was allowed honest burial, which happened the ___, but it could not be determined through proper investigation, if this deadly blow had happened by the man falling off the horse, or by others' violence. He was 58 1/2 years old. (Translation by Bo Johansson)
