Please to inform my friends that we are well, all well, and that the papers came to hand but not the paper sent with the letter.  Am sorry to say I have not the box yet but hope to have it in a few weeks.

We have had the finest weather this fall that I ever remember at home or abroad.  We had no snow till the 26th of Novbr.

I have got 5 acres chopped this fall.  This is taking time by the forelock as my neighbours had hardly begun.  Since writing the above I have received a note from the Cleavers requesting me to fetch the box directly as they expecting to remove.

Prices of produce - wheat 3s 9d per bushell, pork by the carcase 4s 0d per score, beef by the quarter 4s 6d per cwt., salmon trout 25 shilling per barrell ready salted 200 lb. weight.

I have bought a 3 years old heifer to calve early in the spring for 3£ 5s 0d.  Hay 2£ 0s 0d per ton.  Theese prices are all in currency.  About 4 6 less in the pound than sterling.

The children with myself send our love to grandpa and grandma with respects to all enquirers.
