New Jersey Wellers

The problem is to tie the William Weller, born by 1818 in New Jersey, who married Ellen Mears, in to one of the New Jersey families.

The William Wellers that I have been able to find so far:

William3 (Philip2, George1) no known bmd dates or spouse or descendants; parents marr. 1781, siblings with known or estimated birthdates born 1784/89/95/97 1800/02/07; no indication of siblings or their descendants in Wisconsin

William4 (John3, Philip2, George1) (30 APR 1816 NJ-26 MAR 1883 Washington Twp OH) no known Wisconsin connections

William3 (William2, George1) (Hope Twp NJ-) William is found in the will of his father (William Weller) dated July 18, 1840 (Will book 2, page 57, Warren County Courthouse, Belvidere, Warren Co. NJ)

William4 (Peter R.3, William2, George1) (11 MAR 1816 NJ-) He and siblings all bap 1 JAN 1818 Mansfield-Woodhouse Presbyterian Church, Washington, Sussex Co. NJ. Nothing further found regarding he or siblings or parents.

William4 (William3, Jacob2, Johann Philipp1) (1810 Warren Co. NJ-16 Sep 1863 Canton, Fulton Co. IL) marr E. Long; bro Michael d. 20 May 1855 Canton Twp. Fulton Co. IL. William3 Weller died in 1839. He left no will and the courts could not agree upon a distribution, thus the property was sold (to sons Michael and William) and the proceeds were divided. An inventory made at the time of his death lists a total valuation (excluding real estate) of $3,225. Orphans court (Warren Co. N. J.) Bk. 2,p.322 Division of the real estate of William Weller ordered 17 Jun 1842,The order names the following children: Mary widow of John Leida, Jacob, Christinana w. of Amos Barnes, William, Sarah w/o Edward Swayze, Elizaw/o Charles Kirkhuff. Record of brother Jacob says William, also a farmer, lived nearby in Benton Township PA (per 1850 census). Jacob moved to MD after 1854. Sister in Oakland Co. MI by 1870.

However, from another source, he may have died in 17 Dec 1854 in NJ and his wife was Eleanor Long. He had a child Charlotte who was born in 1843 and married Henry Fergusen Turner. The rest of his children don't match at all.
