By a 1st m. he had two sons James and Moore MATLOCK. He married 2nd Mary MILLER, by her he had: Absolom, Jane, Malinda, Amanda, Ann, Eveline and Louisa MATLOCK

He was Ocee Baptist Minister, Polk Co. Tn. [The second wife is confirmed by Janna Crompton, who said she had one child, Absalom J. MATLOCK.] (Note from Melba WOOD: Trying to compile this family was quite an undertaking. There are sure to be mistakes. Here is what has been sent to me, including help from the people living next door. This is a probable family, not a complete family group. Does anyone have a Bible record of Jason's family, all 21, 22,or 23 of them?)

[Janna Crumpton, says yes, Elizabeth HICKS MATLOCK, had 20 children one of them when she was 60 years old. No wonder Melba and the others had trouble with this line. I have not been able to get in touch with Janna personally. I have gotten in touch with a Jamie GIBBONS, who knows of her ... says her information is unreliable. Jamie is on the Moore MATLOCK, Jr. line]

[NOTE: In 1999, I discovered on the Computer WWW (WEB) The Ancestors of Janna Darlene CRUMPTON ... James Jason MATLOCK, Jr. Soon after I notice her web material was removed .
