Final NOTE from WINNIE S. BAILEY, 23 March 2000

It is time to move on ... I feel I have fulfilled my obligation to my husbands family and to all the Matlock researchers: Melba Wood, Marilynn Matlock Price, Lois Piper Ebbert, Naomi Matlock Haache, Marie Matlock Harris, Lucille Kinkead, Veva Edwards Large and daughter, Carolyn Taylor .... Gen. Wm. Alex. Smith and W. Thomas Smith ..... just to name a few helpers with this book.

I feel I have bridged the gap between the recent past research-ers, it's time to pass the torch on to the newer generations with all their gadgety .... just this past week - March 20th to 23rd, 2000 so much has passed back and forth over the internet ... looks like exciting times ahead for the MATLOCK's.

My hope is that between you, the trail from John Sr. and John Jr. MATLOCK ... to Moore MATLOCK and Emily Jane POWELL or from William MATLOCK of 1702 - to Moore and Emily Jane is SETTLED AND PROVEN to everyone's satisfaction .....

So Long and Best Wishes from Winnie-WSB in Oregon March 24, 2000
