Welcome to my home page. I have recently become interested in my family history and this is part of my attempt at locating what there is to find of them. My maiden name is Trappe (pronounced like happy). I have not been able to find very much on this line except for what I have pieced together from memory, my dad and a couple of family members. Family tradition has it that we are related to the Von Trapp's of Austria and Germany. Von Trapp is the name of the family from the movie ' The Sound Of Music'. Family tradition also has it that my great great grandfather changed the name to Trappe after coming to America.
The Eddins and Vance lines are my mothers parents lines. A little bit more is known about them. One of my dearest aunts has had the forsight for all of these years to write some of this down. Without people like her doing the same thing our task of finding our kin would probably be next to impossible.
