Daniel and Hannah's children were Louisa born ca. 1840, Sarah born in 1843, James born in 1845, George born in 1838, and Mary born in 1851.

Daniel Venoye served in the Air Force during WW II, and was a P. O. W. in Germany. His children are Hazel Delese, and Vernon Dale born June 10, 1951 in Brownwood, Texas.

Nancy Matlock died on Nov. 15, 1854 in Danville, Ind., David died Mar. 10, 1861 also in Danville. They are buried in the South Cem. in Danville.
DAVID, a Baptist Minister, born Feb. 16, 1819 near Bloomington, Ind. He was a son of John S. and Eleanor Haggarty Matlock. David died on Sept. 2, 1878 in Union Co., Ill. He had a brother named Joseph.

David Medlock died on May 10, 1873, and Rachal died in the late 1880's in Shannon, Mo. They are buried in the Old Gladden Valley Baptist Church Cem. in Shannon Co.

DAVID, sold a claim to the Steward family in North Kendall Co., Ill. on the sight of the present town of Plano. This may be David, son of John S. Matlock of Kendall Co., but he would have been only 19 years old at the time-1838.

They were living in Iowa by 1838 with their children: Polly born in 1839, Jane born in 1842, Lucy born in 1845, Adam Evans born in 1838. At the time of David's death in 1898, his wife was Mary Elizabeth Medlock. The children listed in his will were Noah E. Ward age 26, David E. age 21, Phoebe age 20, Tina E. age 18, John B. M. age 17, Dollie L. age 16, Bernettie (Nettie) B. age 14, Charlie M. age 12, and Stephen E. age 6. Also listed were Mary E. Evans age 60, his daughter by Nancy, and a Reed who was a grandson by his daughter Jane Medlock Reed, his daughter Lucy Medlock Blair was omitted but was entitled to the same amount as the other children.

(or possibly Ark.). David's children by Mary were : Ira F. (female) born in 1872, and Dacia M. birth date unknown. These were probably born in Ark.

DAVID C., born Apr. 4, 1794 in Carter Co., Tn., son of William and Catherine Sevier Matlock. On Aug. 10, 1815, David married Martha D. Armstrong (b. Oct. 6, 1798 in Va.), daughter of John and Letitia Cain (?) Armstrong. David lived in Overton Co., Tn. ca. 1800, around 1820, he moved to Burkesville, Ky. He lived in Van Buren, Ark. in 1846. David was a Tenn. Vol. in the War of 1812- he was an Ensign. Later in his life he became a minister of The Disciples of Christ. A physical description states that he was 6'2" and weighed nearly 200 lbs. David and Martha Matlock had the following children William Armstrong born June 24, 1816, Catherine born Mar. 18, 1818, George Monroe born Dec. 24, 1816, Judith born Feb. 13, 1823, Martha J. born Jan. 19, 1826, Harriet L. born Jan. 11, 1831, John Sevier born Apr. 4, 1836, and David C., Jr. born in 1838. David and Martha are buried in Van Buren.
DAVID CROCKETT, son of David C. and Martha Armstrong Matlock. David was born in Ky. in 1838 and was living in Van Buren, Ark. by 1860. His wife was Serupta Rebecca (b. ca. 1844 in Ark.), her parents were natives of Tn. David served in the Confederate Army and was discharged in Texas at the end of the war. He was in Milam Co., Tx. in 1880, he made his living by farming. David and Serupta's first two children were born in Ark. and the latter three were born in Tx. as follows; Julia born ca. 1862, David born in 1864, Kater (Decatur?) born ca. 1869, Margaret born in 1871, and Porter (?) born in 1878. One source of info. on David Crockett Matlock states that he was a junior.

He later married (1884) Alice Edna Hadley, a daughter of John and Jerusha Hadley. Alice was born near Stilesville, Ind. David and Alice had a daughter named Pearl. David M. died in 1915 and Alice died in June of 1931.

DICA MEDLOCK, born Dec. 8, 1839 in Hopkins Co., Ky., daughter of Nathaniel and Evaline McDonald Medlock. Dica married Robert Steely in Cole Co., Mo. on Apr. 20, 1854. She died on Apr- 3, 1865 and is buried in the Elston Cem. in Cole Co.
DICEY ANN MEDLOCK, the twin of Doxie (?) who died at birth. Dicey Ann was born in Cole Co., Mo. in 1871, daughter of Allen and Serelda Steely Medlock. She married James Elliott on Jan. 15, 1890 in Cole Co. Dicey Ann died in Topeka, Ks., date unknown.
DIXON, son of Robert Emmet and Lillie Rose Roberson Matlock. His wife is Irene and he had a daughter named Marlene.
DOCK D., born Nov. 3, 1880 in Rusk Co., Tx., son of John Alexander and Mary E. Clifton Matlock. Dock D. married Rosa Lee Nelson (from Nacogdoches Co., Tx.), daughter of Richard T. W. and Mary Byrd Nelson. They had the following children Ruby, Gertrude, Homer, Lorene, James, and Zeffie. Dock D. died on Dec. 2. 1959 and is buried in the Restland Cem. in Livingston, Polk Co., Tx., Rosa Lee is buried near him. Dock D. and Rosa were members of the Baptist Church, Dock D.'s father was a Baptist minister.
DOCTOR D., born ca. 1831 in Tippah Co., Ms., son of Littleberry and Nancy Matlock. Doctor D.'s first wife was Nancy, he later married Louizie Prince. He had two children but by which wife is unknown : S. Andrew and Annie. Doctor D. served in the C. S. A. and was a Prisoner of War.
