D., lived in Adams Co., Ill. in 1855.

D.E., lived in Parker Co., Tx. in 1880, in the household of David and Minerva Matlock Young. About this same year, he married Carrie E. Powell. At least five children were born to this couple. D. E. was killed by a fall from a horse in 1907.

D.J. resided at 101 Banning St. in Los Angeles, Ca. in 1886 / 7. He was a manager of Sunset Telephone and Telegraph.

DAMIE A., daughter of James D. and Susan E. Mays Matlock. Damie A. was born in Ms. ca. 1866 and was in Prentiss Go., Ms. in 1870. She was living in Fannin Co., Tx. in 1900. Damie's married name was Morris.

DANIEL, born ca. 1810 in Tn. (prob. Hawkins Co.) son of Richard and Mary Weddle Matlock. Daniel married Hannah (b. ca. 1822 in N. C.). In 1840, Daniel was in Hawkins Co., Tn., in 1850, he was in Hancock Co., Tn., and in 1860, he was in Jackson Co., Ind. Daniel and Hannah's children were Louisa born ca. 1840, Sarah born in 1843, James born in 1845, George born in 1838, and Mary born in 1851.

DANIEL, born ca. 1823-9 in Tn. (?), his wife was Mary (b. in Tn. in 1832). Daniel was a son of David (b. in N.C. in 1780) and Holly (b. in N.C. in 1790) Matlock.

DANIEL B., born ca. 1837 in Ky., son of Joel E. and Elizabeth Dyer Matlock. Daniel lived in Warren Co., Ky. in 1850.

DANIEL MEDLOCK, born ca. 1839, son of John (b. ca. 1820 in Tn.) and Maria Holloway (b. ca. 1825 in Va.) Medlock. In 1850, Daniel was in Knox Co., Tennessee.

DANIEL MEDLOCK, born ca. 1843 in Miss., son of Polly (b. in Ala. in 1811) Medlock, He was in Phillips Co., Ark. in 1850.

DANIEL, born ca. 1847 in Tn., son of Elcana and Diannah Matlock. In 1850, he was in White Co., Tennessee.

DANIEL G., was a Confederate soldier from Mo. He served as a Private in Co. B. Perkin's Bat'n.

DANIEL VENOYE, born Sept. 1, 1924 in San Saba Co., Tx., son of James Oliver Matlock. He married Dorothy Hazel Griswold on Mar. 4, 1944 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Daniel Venoye served in the Air Force during WW II, and was a P. O. W. in Germany. His children are Hazel Delese, and Vernon Dale born June 10, 1951 in Brownwood, Texas.

DANNY, son of Pete and Della Owens Matlock. Danny lived in Nacogdoches, Texas in 1981.

DAVID, born ca. 1725 in Va. His wife was Margaret, also born in Va. in 1732. David and Margaret later moved to N. C. and then to Tenn. In 177l, David sold land to William Page in Bedford Co., Va. David's will was filed in Washington Co., Tn. in 1790, Margaret died in Overton Co., Tn. in 1825. They lived in Henry Co., Va. in 1776 with their children : Agnes born Mar. 27, 1753, John born Nov. 3, 1755, James born Mar. 6, 1758, Sarah born Aug. 11, 1760, William born Dec. 3, 1762, in Henry Co., Elizabeth born Oct. 7, 1765, David born Mar. 5, 1768, Gideon and Catherine born Sept. 30, 1770, and George born Apr. 13, 1774.

DAVID, son of David and Margaret Matlock, born Mar. 5, 1768. No further record of this man.

DAVID, born in N. C. in 1780. His wife was Holly also born in 1780. By 1850, David was in Lincoln Co., Tn. His children were David born ca. 1815, William born ca. 1820, Rebecca born ca. 1820, and Daniel born ca. 1829. The first three were born in N. C. and the last was born in Tennessee.

DAVID (believe this is MATTOX), lived in Chatham Co.,N.C.. in 1790. He was living in a household which consisted of: 2 males under 16, 2 males over 16, and 5 females. He probably was a Mattox from Goochland Co., N. C.

DAVID MEDWCK, born ca. 1785. He was living in the Danville Township of Montgomery Co., Mo. in 1840.

DAVID, born Oct. 28, 1788 (prob.Va.), son of William and Sarah Matlock. He married Nancy Agnes Lee ca. 1808, in Roane Co., Tn. Nancy was born Apr. 16, 1789 in S. C., daughter of William and Sarah McMillan Lee. David and Nancy's children were : William Lee born Sept. 15, 1809, Sarah born July 7, 1811, Jesse T. born Oct. 19, 1813, John W. born Feb. 12, 1820, and Mary Jane born Jan. 5, 1826. Nancy Matlock died on Nov. 15, 1854 in Danville, Ind., David died Mar. 10, 1861 also in Danville. They are buried in the South Cem. in Danville.

DAVID, a Baptist Minister, born Feb. 16, 1819 near Bloomington, Ind. He was a son of John S. and Eleanor Haggarty Matlock. David died on Sept. 2, 1878 in Union Co., Ill. He had a brother named Joseph.

DAVID MEDLOCK, born in Laurens (?) S. C. in 1806. His wife was Rachal Adams (b. in S. C. in 1807) Medlock. They moved to Hopkins Co., K.Y. ca. 1838, and then to Shannon Co., Mo. ca. 1851. Their children were : Lucy C., born ca. 1830, John S. born in 1832, Jeritta C. born in 1834, David E. born in 1835, Nathaniel R. born in 1836, Walter Briton born June 6, 1839, William Henry born in 1841, Silas Anderson born in 1842, Dica A. born in 1846, Rodolphus born in 1848, Luther born in 1851, and Anne (Doxie or Dixie) born in 1852. David Medlock died on May 10, 1873, and Rachal died in the late 1880's in Shannon, Mo. They are buried in the Old Gladden Valley Baptist Church Cem. in Shannon Co.

DAVID, born ca. 1811 in N. C., his wife, Jane was born ca. 1813, also In N. C. David was in McCracken Co., Ky. in 1850 with his children William J. born ca. 1835, L. J. (female) born ca. 1838, John P. born ca. 1841, and C. A. (male) born ca. 1843. There was a David Matlock in Christian Co., Ky. in 1840, he was probably a son of John Matlock of Rockingham, N. C.

DAVID, sold a claim to the Steward family in North Kendall Co., Ill. on the sight of the present town of Plano. This may be David, son of John S. Matlock of Kendall Co., but he would have been only 19 years old at the time-1838.

DAVID MEDLOCK, born ca. 1812 in N. C., his first wife was Nancy, born ca. 1817 in N. C. They were living in Iowa by 1838 with their children: Polly born in 1839, Jane born in 1842, Lucy born in 1845, Adam Evans born in 1838. At the time of David's death in 1898, his wife was Mary Elizabeth Medlock. The children listed in his will were Noah E. Ward age 26, David E. age 21, Phoebe age 20, Tina E. age 18, John B. M. age 17, Dollie L. age 16, Bernettie (Nettie) B. age 14, Charlie M. age 12, and Stephen E. age 6. Also listed were Mary E. Evans age 60, his daughter by Nancy, and a Reed who was a grandson by his daughter Jane Medlock Reed, his daughter Lucy Medlock Blair was omitted but was entitled to the same amount as the other children.

DAVID, married Nancy Mabe (Maib) on Oct. 11, 1849 in Bartholomew Co., Ind. Nancy Mabe Matlock was born in Stokes Co., N. C. on Aug. 9, 1832, her family moved to Brown Co., Ind. in 1833. Nancy died on Dec. 23, i895.

DAVID, born ca. 1818 in Ind., son of William and Sarah Walker Matlock. David's wife was Sarah Huff Matlock, they were living in Johnson Co., Ind. in 1850 with their children Abraham H. born in 1837, William D. born in 1839, Nancy A. born in 1841, Margaret M. born in 1843, and Mary E. born in 1850.

DAVID MEDLOCK, born ca. 1821 in S.C., his first wife's name is unknown but his second wife was Mary A. (both of her parents were natives of S. C.). In 1880, David was in Izard Co., Ark. His children by his first wife were Plartha J. born in 1849, William F. born in 1851, James born in 1854, Mary E. born in 1856, John born in 1859 in Georgia as were all of the former, Luvinia A. born ca. 1862 in Ark., and Sarah S. born in 1863 in Ga. (or possibly Ark.). David's children by Mary were : Ira F. (female) born in 1872, and Dacia M. birth date unknown. These were probably born in Ark.

DAVID MEDLOCK, lived in Independence Co., Ark. in 1870. Undoubtedly the David above.

DAVID, born ca. 1835 in S. C., his wife was Paralee (Poxti?) Matlock (b. ca. 1834 in Tn.). In 1860, David was in Texas Co., Mo. His children were Elijah born in 1854, David born in 1858, Cordelia born in 1858, and Sarah C. born in 1860. These last three were born in Missouri.

DAVID, probably a son of John (of Rockingham) and Mary Matlock. He was in Christian Co., Ky. in 1840. Abisha Matlock was also listed with him.

DAVID, born ca. 1846 in Ind., son of Catherine E. Strickland Matlock. Catherine's father was born in Ind. and her mother, Elizabeth C. Strickland was a native of Mo. In 1880, David was living in Vernon Co., Mo. David's children were Mary E. J. born ca. 1870 in Ill., and (?) M. born in 1876 in Mo.

DAVID, born in Tn. in 1840, son of John and Maria Holloway Matlock. David's wife was Serilda born in Tn. in 1849. David was living in Anderson Co., Tn. in 1870. The only child listed under him was Mary E. born ca. 1869 in Tennessee.

DAVID, born ca. 1843, son of Johnson and Dolly Matlock. Dolly's Maiden name was Matlock. David lived in Hancock Co., Tn. in 1350. He had a brother named William M.

DAVID, born in 1844, son of (believe) John J. (from Tippah Co., Ms.) and Mary Matlock. David was living in Bell Co., Tx. in 1880. His wife was named Susan, Their children were Mary E. born ca. 18?5,Susan F. born ca. 1876, and John J. born ca. 1879 in Texas.

DAVID, born ca. 1864 in Ark., son of D. Crockett (son of David and Martha Armstrong Matlock) and Rebecca Matlock. David was in Milam Co., Tx. in 1880.

DAVID, son of Robert Emmett and Lillie Rose Roberson Matlock, married Zeffie Kirklin and had four children: Mike, Margie and Margaret (twins), and Cotton Matlock.

DAVID A. MEELOCK, born ca. 1850 in Ms., son of John J. and Mary Park Medlock. Mary was born in Ireland in 1821, her mother, Jane Park was living in the household in 1860. David was in Tippah Co., Ms. in 1860. This could be the same David in Bell Co., Tx. in 1880.

DAVID C., born Apr. 4, 1794 in Carter Co., Tn., son of William and Catherine Sevier Matlock. On Aug. 10, 1815, David married Martha D. Armstrong (b. Oct. 6, 1798 in Va.), daughter of John and Letitia Cain (?) Armstrong. David lived in Overton Co., Tn. ca. 1800, around 1820, he moved to Burkesville, Ky. He lived in Van Buren, Ark. in 1846. David was a Tenn. Vol. in the War of 1812- he was an Ensign. Later in his life he became a minister of The Disciples of Christ. A physical description states that he was 6'2" and weighed nearly 200 lbs. David and Martha Matlock had the following children William Armstrong born June 24, 1816, Catherine born Mar. 18, 1818, George Monroe born Dec. 24, 1816, Judith born Feb. 13, 1823, Martha J. born Jan. 19, 1826, Harriet L. born Jan. 11, 1831, John Sevier born Apr. 4, 1836, and David C., Jr. born in 1838. David and Martha are buried in Van Buren.

DAVID CROCKETT, son of David C. and Martha Armstrong Matlock. David was born in Ky. in 1838 and was living in Van Buren, Ark. by 1860. His wife was Serupta Rebecca (b. ca. 1844 in Ark.), her parents were natives of Tn. David served in the Confederate Army and was discharged in Texas at the end of the war. He was in Milam Co., Tx. in 1880, he made his living by farming. David and Serupta's first two children were born in Ark. and the latter three were born in Tx. as follows; Julia born ca. 1862, David born in 1864, Kater (Decatur?) born ca. 1869, Margaret born in 1871, and Porter (?) born in 1878. One source of info. on David Crockett Matlock states that he was a junior.

DAVID D., born ca. 1849 in Tn., son of William (from N. C.) and Martha (from Tn.) Matlock. David was an infant living in Lincoln Co., Tn. in 1850. DAVID H., married Mrs. Ellen Smith on Mar. 24, 1867 in Hempstead Co., Ark. His two children were : Ronnie and Shannon.

DAVID H., born ca. 1878 in Kansas, son of William Robert and Mariah Elizabeth Weddel Matlock. David lived in Franklin Co., Ark. in 1880, he was still there in 1900.

DAVID L., born ca. 1861 in Tn., son of T. M. (b. in Ala. in 1827) and Margaret (b. in Tn. in 1835) Matlock. David was in Hardin Co., Tn. in 1880.

DAVID M., born Nov. 30, 1836 in Danville, Ill., son of William Lee and Nancy Hadley Matlock. David's first wife was Belle Sanders. He later married (1884) Alice Edna Hadley, a daughter of John and Jerusha Hadley. Alice was born near Stilesville, Ind. David and Alice had a daughter named Pearl. David M. died in 1915 and Alice died in June of 1931.

DAVID W., born June 26, 1951 in Port Arthur, Tx., son of L. C. Matlock.

DAVIS, born ca. 1854 in Tn., son of William (b. ca. 1822 in Tn.) and Mary (b. ca. 1830 in Tn.) Matlock. Davis lived in Hood Co., Tx. In 1870.

DEBORAH, also shown as Debba (Debbie?). She was born ca. 1849 in Ark., daughter of Elijah (b. in 1816 in Mo.) and probably Elizabeth (b. in Tn. in 1825) Matlock. In 1850 and 1860, Deborah was in Carroll Co., Ark.

DEBORAH S., born ca. 1877 in Tn daughter of John (b. in Tn. in 1853) and Margaret E. (b. in Tn. in 1857) Matlock. Deborah was in Fannin Co., Texas in 1880.

DECATUR, son of George and Susan Matlock, lived in Wilson Co., Tn. in 1840.

DELIA, born ca. 1869 in Tn., daughter of Jasper S. and Martha Heflin Matlock. Delia lived in Giles Co., Tn. in 1880.

DELILAH, born ca. 1843 in Ark., daughter of Issac and Jane Matlock. She lived in Johnson Co., Ark. in 1850.

DELLA, born ca. 1872 in Tx., daughter of Jason L. and Margaret Gilliland Matlock. Della lived in Parker Co., Tx. in 1880. She later married Jasper Burk.

DELMAN MEDLOCK, married Lois McPheeters (b. Mav 4, 1892) in Washington Co., Ind. on Apr. 28, 1914. There is a record of a Delbert C., born in Ind. in 1892, this could be the same person.

DENNIS, married Lillie Watrip in Boone Co., Ark.

DENNIS, was living in Lake Oswego, Ore. in the 1970's. He is a son of Edward Dale and Barbara Matlock. Dennis' family came from the Paris Sherman, Tx. area.

DE WITT, his first name could be Charles. He was born ca. 1868 in Ore., son of Caswell (b. in Mo.) and Mary (b. in Ill.) Matlock.

DICA MEDLOCK, born Dec. 8, 1839 in Hopkins Co., Ky., daughter of Nathaniel and Evaline McDonald Medlock. Dica married Robert Steely in Cole Co., Mo. on Apr. 20, 1854. She died on Apr- 3, 1865 and is buried in the Elston Cem. in Cole Co.

DICEY ANN MEDLOCK, the twin of Doxie (?) who died at birth. Dicey Ann was born in Cole Co., Mo. in 1871, daughter of Allen and Serelda Steely Medlock. She married James Elliott on Jan. 15, 1890 in Cole Co. Dicey Ann died in Topeka, Ks., date unknown.

DIXON, son of Robert Emmet and Lillie Rose Roberson Matlock. His wife is Irene and he had a daughter named Marlene.

DOCK D., born Nov. 3, 1880 in Rusk Co., Tx., son of John Alexander and Mary E. Clifton Matlock. Dock D. married Rosa Lee Nelson (from Nacogdoches Co., Tx.), daughter of Richard T. W. and Mary Byrd Nelson. They had the following children Ruby, Gertrude, Homer, Lorene, James, and Zeffie. Dock D. died on Dec. 2. 1959 and is buried in the Restland Cem. in Livingston, Polk Co., Tx., Rosa Lee is buried near him. Dock D. and Rosa were members of the Baptist Church, Dock D.'s father was a Baptist minister.

DOCTOR D., born ca. 1831 in Tippah Co., Ms., son of Littleberry and Nancy Matlock. Doctor D.'s first wife was Nancy, he later married Louizie Prince. He had two children but by which wife is unknown : S. Andrew and Annie. Doctor D. served in the C. S. A. and was a Prisoner of War.
