HARVEY DREYTON, born 24 March 1833 in Laurens Co., S. C. Son of Silas and Catherine Murff Medlock. Children: James R. Murff, Emma, and Cleburne, M.D. May have been others. Dr. Cleburne wrote in 1963 at age 84 "My father was Harvey Dreyton Medlock, a brother of Nathaniel ( a tragedy of the Civil War) and to Dr. J. R. Medlock of California. I was named for General Cleburne, a Southern General whom my father served under for three years during the War. My grandfather, Silas Medlock, moved from a little town, Laurens, S. C. to Center Point, Ark in 1850's. (above submitted by Mrs. Helen Whitson).
HAYDEN MEDLOCK, born 1870 Nacogdoches Co., Tx. son of Thomas who was born ca 1844 in Tn. and Arnelia Clemens. ( I know nothing further of this family even though they lived near my gggreatfather in the 1870 census of Nacogdoches Co. Tx. - JNA),

HENRY, born 1786. Married 6 Nov. 1814 in Roane Co., Tn. Nancy Rice. Shows in McMinn Co., Tn. 1840 as age 54. Will executed 1847 in McMinn Co., Tn. Children: Charles, Henry, John W., Martha, Elizabeth, George W., Sarah and Nancy Jane.
HENRY, born ca 1843 Miss. (?). Married 20 Dec. 1860 in Cooke Co., Tx. Cynthia Burch, dau. of Thomas and Martha Burch. Shown in 1870 census of Cooke Co., Tx. with two children. Descendants still live in this area.

HENRY MIDLOCK, born ca 1849 in Mo. shown in 1880 census of Scotland Co., Mo. Also shown wife, Elizabeth and John born ca 1873 and Christian (female) born ca 1779.
HENRY B., born ca 1829, son of John and Melinda Ellis Matlock. Married 1856 Lucinda Dean. Died 10 Feb., 1910 near Norman Okla. He obviously had married a second time since his obit listed a wife and stepson. Lucinda Dean Matlock died in 1900. Also mentioned as survivors were a son, John W. and a daughter Mrs. M. M. Furray (Eliza).
HENRY CLAY, born ca 1830 in Ky., son of Absolom and Elizabeth Dyer Matlock. In 1856 his mother was in Johnson Co., Mo., her husband having died in 1840 Warren Co., Ky.
HENRY COLUMBUS, born 1859, son of William (Billy) and Lydia McKenney Matlock. Married Laura Furling and had five sons : Ferd, Lee, Tommy, Herman and Brewer.
HENRY LOUIS, born 9 Feb., 1892 in Miss., son of Eramus, "Edwin and Mary Bridges Matlock. Married Katherine Zora' Thornton and had sons: Louis Barnette, Edwin Orando and Francis Clay. These are descendants of Charles Henry Matlock who was in Mississippi before 1840.
HENRY PICKENS, born,11 March 1849 at Mt. Enterprise, Rusk Co. . Tx. , son of Lewis J. and Amanda Jane Bell Matlock. Married 2Z Feb., 1872 Adelaide Boatman, dau. of David and Martha Ann Hayes Boatman. Had two children: Lewis; David and Amanda Jane, After the death of first wife, he rnarried Lucy Vardeman and had children: James Arter, R. E., John, Rosa Ella, Oscar, Avis Kolovy, Earl Jefferson, Vester B. and Hattie. Henry P. died 18 November 1925 and is buried at Union Springs Cemetery in Nacogdoches Go. , Tx. This is my greatgrandfather (JNA)
