EARLY MATLOCK - MEDLOCK PARISH RECORDS

Taken from the Register of St. Peter's Parish (New Kent Co., Va.):

• Anne wife of Jno. Medlock dyed the 23 March, 1699-1700.
• Jno. Medlock and ___  married the 27 April 1701:
• George son of John Medlock Jur. baptis. ye 3 June 1701.
• William son of Jno. Medlock baptised the 19 July 1702.
• Thomas, son of Jno. Medlock Jur. baptized 21 Novemb., 1703.

Taken from the Vestry Book of St.Paul's Parish (Hanover Co., Va.):

• 14 March 1708/9 returns made to the Vestry of St. Paul's Parish from the surveyor of the 39 precincts contained the name of John Medlock.
• 1711 John Matlock appointed overseer of his precinct.
• 1721 It is ordered that Samuel Knuckols clear a road from the upper end of Matlocks road to the upper inhabitants, etc.
