C. Wilfrid Matlock, a member of the firm of Matlock and King, is a native of England, born in Leicester April 28, 1882. He completed a scientific course there at Sir Isaac Newton School. He was apprenticed six years to his father, a general contractor, and took course in architectural drawing.
Arriving in San Francisco in Aug. 1906 he became Supt. for C.E. Brady and Son for nine years and helped rebuild the ruins of San Francisco's 1906 earthquake and fire. He was Supt. for W.C. Duncan and Co. 1915-1920. In Jan. 1921 he and Mr. King formed a partnership and opened offices in Modesto, California. (Sent by Virginia Zeboski).
