Elsberry Taulbee son of James Madison Taulbee, Born 3-19-1840 Fayette Co.,
IL and his new wife, Margaret Matilda Mills whom he married Feb 17, 1864.
Margaret was the daughter of James Lee Mills. She was born January 16,
1842 near Salisbury in Iredell County, North Carolina. Joseph died January
1, 1892 in Hillsboro, Illinois and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery among
the other Civil War Veterans. Margaret died March 12, 1922 and is buried
in Oak Grove Cemetery.
We can date this photo as on or about his wedding day, Feb 17, 1864 based on his Yankee uniform, although he did spend 4 years in the Federal Army.
