Frank Louden Dies |
||
Frank Louden, 71, for many years a resident of Nance county, died last Friday morning at his farm home near Belgrade, where he had resided for the past twenty-six years. He is survivied by his widow, three sons Raymond of Greeley, Colo., Wallace of Fullerton and Glen of Stevensville, Mont. and one daughter who lives at Scottsbluff. Seven grandchildren, two of whom have made their home with him, two brothers and two sisters also survive. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Belgrade with Rev. Ralph Good, pastor of the church officiating. Interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery at St. Edward. |

Mrs. Frank Louden Dies |

Mrs. Frank Louden, 83, resident of Fullerton since 1937, died Friday at Cedar Manor Home for the Aged. She had been ill for a number of months. Born in Missouri, Mrs. Louden came to Nebraska with her parents in a covered wagon in 1877 and grew up in the St. Edward area. After her marriage, she lived both in Boone county and near Belgrade and moved to Fullerton after Mr. Louden's death She is survived by three sons, Lloyd of Belgrade, Raymond of Greeley, Colo., and Wallace of Malvern, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Nesbitt of Eugene, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. George Close of Belgrade and one brother, Ross Wright of St. Edward. Two of her grandchildren, Violet and Alden Louden, were raised by her. Funeral services were held at the Beaman-Palmer Funeral Home on Sunday with Rev. Roy Wingate of the Belgrade Methodist church officiating. Burial was made at St. Edward. |

Lloyd Glenn Louden was born at St. Edward, Nebraska, on November 18, 1904, and died in his home at Fullerton, Nebraska, on May 19, 1968. He was 63 years old. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Louden. At the age of five years, he moved with his parents to a farm near Fullerton. On July 24, 1934 he married Margaret Wist. The couple moved to Montana where Mr. Louden was foreman for a sugar beet ranch. Eight years later they moved to Fremont, and in 1943 they moved to Belgrade. In 1964, Mr. and Mrs. Louden moved to Fullerton. Mr. Louden was an employee of the Rasmussen-Miller Co. of Genoa, and operated heavy equipment. While at Belgrade, he served on the Village Board, the Board of Education and was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. His home was his interest. He was respected by his friends, and preached his own sermon through life and did it well. He was a kind husband and father. Surviving besides his wife are a son, Thayne Louden of San Diego, California; a daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Glenda) Thompson of Rochester, Washington; two brothers, Raymond Louden of Greeley, Colorado, and Wallace Louden of Malvern, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Herbert Artlund of Eugene, Oregon; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Marie Hahn, former pastor of the Belgrade Methodist Church, in the Beamon and Palmer Funeral Home on May 22. Pallbearers were: Howard Bourn, Leon Dudney, E. F. Garton, Darrell Hollman, Floyd Hollman and Melvin Rasmussen. Honorary pallbearers were Harold Andersen, Joe Delaney, C.H. Hosler, Floyd Miller, Edgar Phillips, William Rollf, Ted Sample, Leonard Scott, Harlan Sinnett and Emil Zabka. Burial was in the Fullerton Cemetery. |

Mrs. Margaret A. Louden, 77, of El Cajon, California, died of cancer September 21 in a hospital there. Survivors include a son, Thayne, and a daughter, Glenda, both of El Cajon. Her husband, Lloyd G. Louden preceded her in death in 1968. She was cremated. Burial will be at a later date in the Fullerton Cemetery. |

COLUMBUS -- Gerarda "Sally" Louden, 88, of Columbus died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at the Good Samaritan Center in Scribner. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus with the Rev. Gary Main officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Louden was born July 29, 1913, in Baker, Ore., to Raymond and Elisa (Mynsberghe) DeBaets. She attended schools in Rising City. She married Benjamin K. Louden on Dec. 8, 1934, in Osceola. They lived in Columbus for over 60 years. She was employed by Swift and Co., and retired from Becton-Dickinson Co. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. Survivors include two sons, Lloyd B. (Linda) Louden of Fremont and Jerry K. (Claudine) Louden of Sandia, Texas; one daughter, Jackie K. Louden of Sunnyvale, Calif.; four sisters, Alliene (Francis) Krumbach of Shelby, Bertha Smith of Osceola, Martha Smith of David City and Ramona (Arnold) Wendell of Stromsburg; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Emiel DeBaets; and two sisters, Josephine White and Janet Sobieszyk. Memorials may be directed to family choice. In Memory Of Georgia I. Parks Georgia I. Parks, 83, of Columbus, Nebraska, died May 28, 2001 at the Beverly Health Center in Columbus. Services will be held at Gass Haney Funeral Home on Monday, June 04, 2001 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Douglas Zurek officiating. Interment will be at the Columbus Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation will be hold on Sunday, June 3, 2001 from 3:00 PM 8:00 PM and on Monday, June 4, 2001 from 8:30 AM until service time, all at Gass Haney Funeral Home. |
Georgia Parks was born October 23, 1917 in Petersburg, Nebraska to Alfred and Sarah (Louden) Johnson. The family moved to Columbus in 1927. She graduated from Columbus High School. On August 8, 1947 she married Leonard Parks in North Platte, Nebraska. She was a homemaker. Georgia was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, and going to the horse races. She especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great. grandchildren.
