Mary Marcella Napier

     A memorial Mass will be at Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, in Madaleine Catholic Church for Mary Marcella Napier, who died Jan. 2, at age 89.
     Mrs. Napier was born March 21, 1911, in Duncan, Neb. Her maiden name was Hadwiger. She moved to Portland in 1942 and was a pie baker for Kienow's bakery for more than 10 years, retiring in 1980. She was long time member of the church. In 1929, she married Kenneth Napier, he died in 1948.
     Survivors include her son, Robert; daughter, Patricia Smith-Poff. 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to Catholic Charities. Arrangements by Zeller Chapel of the Roses.

Note: Kenneth Napier vanished at sea - aboard his fishing boat "Princess" (sailed from Astoria, OR), September 1948. Entire crew was lost, no wreckage ever found.
