KINNON, Superintendent Plant No. 1 Superintendent Plant No. 3 ORGANIZED July, 1905, with a capacity of four kilns, we have grown to a capacity of ten kilns and two decorating kilns. We are now without question the largest manufauturers of Stoneware Specialties in the United States, All the officers are natives of Perry County except Mr. Griswold, Vice President, whose home is in Boston, Mass., and all are men of practical worth in the business. Mr. Griswold, who employs from twenty to thirty traveling salesmen constantly, is one of the largest users of the company's products. Almost all the staple articles in the Stoneware Specialty line have been originated by us, and we are at this time the exclusive makers of an entirely new line. We were the first to manufacture Decalcomania and Gold-decorated Stoneware and have already placed these goods in all the principal markets of the United States, While the company was only organized in 1905, all of its officers have been engaged in the manufacture of Stoneware and Stoneware Specialties for twenty years or more, and are giving their undivided attention to the development of an industry the perfection of the product of which is contingent upon a superior quality of clay for its base. It is conceded that the very best clay for this purpose is found in the hills of Perry County, Ohio. |
