Virginia Tax Records, Tithables of Lancaster County, VA: William Leech lived in Lancaster on the north side of the Rappahannock in 1657, and was appointed a justice of that county in 1659. It appears from a deed in Middlesex, dated 1686, that he died without issue, and left his property to his wife's grandchildren, William Tignor, Jr., son of William Tignor of Wickomico, and William Poole, Jr., son of William Poole, of Middlesex.

Daughter Sukey Tignor - all my crop of tobacco, corn, beans and meat requiring her to pay all my just debts. Dauther Sukey Tignor - to give my son james Tignor my pewter point pott, and to give my son Phillip Tignor a small iron pot as he has at his house and one sow and piggs if any. 29 Nov 1750 - Martha Tignor desired me at her house upon her bed of sickness, if I had not set down the meat along with the corn to set it down to her daughter Sukey Tignor, I went to her to the bedside and she whispered it to me because there was her daughter in law in the house and she did not care she should know it; she was in her perfect sences and memory this is what I declare. 29 Nov 1750 - about 10 o'clock at night I was called for and the above said Martha Tignor desired the cloath as she had at the weavers to her said daughter Sukey Tignor, and all her cyder casks to be equally divided between tow sons James and Phillip Tignor. In case daughter Sukey should die before she marries, my son Phillip to have my bed and standing bedstead, and the rest of the estate my daughter sukey leaves behind to be equally divided between my three children James and Phillip Tignor and Sarah Toulson, or their survivors.
