Ernst Wilhelm "William" Reinhardt was born on August 3, 1794 in Linsburg, Husum, Hanover, Germany. As for William's parents, his father is unknown and his mother was a Wilhelmina Dorothea Hiedorn who was born in the 1770's and died on July 7, 1854 in Sedamsville, Cincinnati, Ohio.   William worked as a farmer and as a gardener.

William Reinhardt married a Dorothea "Dora" Degener who was born in May 1799, in Linsburg, Husum, Hanover, Germany. Her parents are unknown.  Dora worked as a housewife.   William and Dora had at least four children.

-- Wilhelm Friedrich Dietrich who was born on August 6, 1812 in Linsburg, Husum, Hanover, Germany.  He married a Margareth Hagedorn living in the Sedamsville area and were the parents of seven children.

-- Maria Dorothea "Sophia" who was born on November 14, 1814, in Linsburg, Husum, Hanover, Germany.  She married a Wilhelm Kruse Sr. living in Linsburg, Husum, Hanover, Germany for approximately thirty years together.  After they immigrated to America they lived in Sedamsville for the rest of their lives together.  They were the parents of at least five children.

-- Sophia who was born on March 6, 1822 in Linsburg, Husum, Hanover, Germany. She married a Gerhard Heinrich Otte living in the Sedamsville area and were the parents of at least five children.

-- Carl Friedrich who was born on November 4, 1822 in Linsburg, Husum, Hanover, Germany. He was married on two occassions.   First to a Sophia Marie Louise Hoffman living in Sedamsville and were the parents of four children.  His second marriage was to a Louise Ideker living in Sedamsville and were the parents of nine children.

The Reinhardt family immigrated to America before February 1843. William and Dora lived on a farm near the coorporation line on Delhi Pike in Sedamsville.  They were members of St. Martini's Church of Christ (German Lutheran) in Sedamsville.

William died on April 15, 1880 at the age of 85 years, 8 months, 12 days. On April 17, 1880, he was buried in Vine Street Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dora died on July 8, 1882 at the age of 83 years, 1 month.   On July 10, 1882, she was buried next to her husband William in Vine Street Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.
