MARLINTON, WV - Eugene Parker Dilley, 74, of Marlinton died July 16, 1999, in Pocahontas Memorial Hospital, Buckeye.
He was a retired sales manager for Marlinton Motor Sales and manager and partner of Pocahontas Dairy. He was a member and treasurer of Marlinton United Methodist Church and a member of Marlinton Lions Club, Marlinton Senior Citizens, VFW and American Legion. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving: stepdaughter, Nancy Diller Burks of Richmond, Va.; stepson, Dwight Diller of Hillsboro; sister, Helen Davis of Marlinton; four stepgrandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Marlinton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stanley Clark, Pastor Jerry Moore and the Rev. Dwight H. Diller officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Marlinton, with military graveside rites. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at VanReenen Funeral Home, Marlinton. Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 50, Marlinton.

Eugene Parker Dilley was the son of Uriah Hevener Dilley and Icie Amanda Sharp Dilley. Grandparents were Amos and Arminta Dilley. Great Grandparents were Andrew and Martha Sharp Dilley. Andrew was the son of Martin Dilley and Hannah Moore Dilley, all Pocahontas County West Virginia.
