John Dilley.
Deriah J. Dilley, Sarah Dilley & husband Asa
Bennett and their three children George, Melissa, and baby Martha
travelled from Iowa County, Wisconsin to the California Gold Rush
in 1849 as the famed Death Valley 49'rs Bennett/Arcan Party. Sarah
Dilley Bennett is credited in the history books for giving Death
Valley it's name.
