Teddy Noye

Farthest back I have taken my Noy ancestors is to Robert NOY who married Elizabeth BOTTRELL on 14 November 1783 in St. Just in Penwith, Cornwall. Searching for Robert's parents, birthplace and birthdate. Birthdate is estimated at 1756 per his age at death (on 26 Aug 1822, St. Just).

My direct line (actually my husband's) from Robert is through his son Henry Noy that married Mary Trezise, through their son Henry that married Jane Lawry. This last Henry and Jane were the emigrant ancestors, arriving in America in 1855, settling in Gilman, Iroquois county, Illinois.

My Suffolk Noy family are first found in Rendham abt 1594 and roamed
around the county, living in Fressingfield, Hoxne, Starston (NFK),
Laxfield and ending up in Westleton in the 19th century where my
grandmother, Edith Ellen Noy was born in 1877.

I am interested in all Suffolk Noy families and have amassed a lot of
information from Parish Registers.
