NOTE: There are TWO diaries on file
at Bentley Historical Library at the University of Michigan concerning
this Thomas NOY. It appears the first one was kept by Thomas Noy's
wife, Elizabeth, and the second was kept by his oldest daughter,
Isabella. I have not seen these diaries, but this is the entry
online describing them:
The papers of Thomas Noy, a farmer
in Kent County, Mich., include two volumes of diaries of his wife
(sic, this was his daughter) Isabella Louisa Noy. Her name may
have been Elizabeth Noy. The first volume (1849-1850) describes
farm life in Kent County. The second volume (1899-1902) describes
life in Pontiac, Mich.
If anyone has access to these diaries,
we would love to transcribe them online~
