First an approximate translation (with my handy German-English dictionary), then

scan of the actual letter. If anyone with better translation skills sees any errors I made

in the translation, I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Ancestor Research - Fehn/Sterz

Carl David Fehn - On 12 October 1796 was born to inhabitant and neighbor J. Valentin Fehn, from his wife Ida Elisabetha Beyersdorfer. The Godfather was Carl David Beyersdorfer, District Forester of Bettenburg, whom the child was named Carl David after.

Margaretha Sterz - No information is available, as she was born in Rentweinsdorf.

Carl Fehn and Margaretha Sterz - In the year 1829, on March first, was Carl Fehn, Buttnermeister (?occupation?), inhabitant and neighbor of Walchenfeld, along with Margaretha Sterz, likewise from there, following public marriage banns, the wedding was held.

George Sterz afterwards Fenn - On 21 October 1825, Anna Margaretha Sterz, daughter of Georg Sterz, inhabitant and neighbor in Walchenfeld, gave birth to the son of her illegitimate lover. The godfather was the mother's brother, Georg Sterz, only son of Zimmerermeisters (?Carpenter Master?) Andreas Sterz from Rentweinsdorf.

Marginal Note - Georg Sterz, afterwards named Fenn, because his mother married Karl Fenn from Walchenfeld in 1829. Postscript: He migrated to America with his parents.
