Preface to below tax rolls:

First photo: This is a copy from microfilm of the 1783 Mendham Township Morris County
New Jersey tax list. It shows Ichabod Dilley and Lewis Dilley living
side by side each on 12 acres of land. The other columns show livestock
and amount of tax assessed.

Second photo: 1785 Mendham Township, Morris County, New Jersey. Ichabod Dilley and
Lewis Dilley each with 12 acres of land. This list is more or less
alphbetized so we can not see proximity.

Third photo: This is the 1789 Mendham Twp., Morris County ,New Jersey tax list.
Ichabod Dilley's name is spelled Duly or Deely. Note that he now has 24
acres of land. Also note the two Dill families who live near by.
