Pg.487 James Johnston to deed Isaac Gilbert This indenture made and entered into this 7th day of April 1859 between James Johnston, of the one part and Isaac Gilbert of the other both of the county of Perry and state of Kentucky. Witnessth; that the said Johnston this day bargained, sold and delivered unto the said Gilbert a certain tract or parcel of land containing eight hundred acres more or less, lying and being Squabble Creek, bounded as followeth; beginning on a beech and maple near the camp rock. All the right title and claim he holds on said creek above said rock to the top of the deviding ridge between Squabble Creek and Leatherwood Creek, for and in consideration of three hundred dolllars to me in hand paid for which the said Johnson doth bind himself to warrent and forever defend the above named premises, to him, the said Gilbert, free from my heirs and assigns forever.
