Pg.287 Isaac Gilbert to deed Henry Gilbert January the 5th day 1885 This deed of conveyance made and entered into between Isaac Gilbert and Rebecca Gilbert his wife of the first part in the county of Perry and state of Kentucky and Henry Gilbert of the second part in the county afore said and state of Kentucky wittnessth that for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred in hand paid the receipt is hereby acknowledged to the party of the second part situated on the water of the Middle Fork of the Kentucky River in Perry County bounded as follows: To wit, Beginning on Squabble Creek on the beginning a birch and maple corner of a 150 acre survey made in the name of James Johnson thence with a straight line to the top of the ridge between Squabble Creek and the Big Branch where Henry McIntosh lives thence running said ridge to the head of Squabble a fork of Buffalow the top of the ridge with its meanders to the right hand fork of Leatherwood thence with the meanders of the ridge between Leatherwood and Squabble Creek to the head of Oter Creek thence with the meanders of the ridge between Oter Creek and Squabble Creek thence between Estep Fork and the main creek opisit the beginning thence with straight line to the beginning birch and maple to have and to hold to said Henry Gilbert and his heirs all the said land belonging to said Isaac Gilbert in said boundry I bind myself to warrent and defend the title from me and my heirs for ever and after claiment or claims I will warrent and defend the title forever this January the 5th day 1885 Isaac Gilbert her Rebecca X Gilbert mark Acknowledged before me by Isaac Gilbert and Rebecca Gilbert his wife this January the 5th day 1885 Ira J.
