Synopis of furthur information from Cynthia's pension claim.

After Solomon's death, she applied for a widow's and minor child pension.  In her claim, she produced a marriage license and certificate showing that she and Solomon were married on Feb. 11, 1861 at Mary Barnett's home (this is Cynthia's mother) in the presense of Daniel Cox and William Perry.  The presiding minister was John. K. Martin

She furthur claimed that one child was born to this union, James E. (*this is James Irving Taylor), born the 23rd day of March, 1862.  This was attested to by Ebney (?) Perry and Nancy Taylor.  Other attestors on this claim to the fact that Cynthia had not remarried were:  G.C. Freeman, Daniel Cox, Diancius(?) Slaven, and William Perry.

This claim was approved commencing on December 5, 1868 in the amount of $8.00 plus $2 per month additional for the one minor.

**My note:  For furthur information on Cynthia Barnett/Taylor, please see the other file entitled, "Pension claim for Cynthia LOVEALL".
